Rainbow in Arches

"The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider's web.” -- Picasso

Rainbow at Arches National Park

How I wish I could take a few hours and park myself somewhere to paint.  I brought my
paints, brushes, but forgot paper.  Auugggh.  Oh well, kind of hard with family waiting on you anyway.

Awww ..you forgot paper? I hurt thinking about it.. Maybe you can absorb the atmosphere and take that inside you to tap into when you make art?

Happy Weekend Diana! xx

Oh I know exactly where in Arches this is. I think that spot has magic concerning the colors. We didn't see a rainbow there (we never saw one in Arches, you're lucky!) but we saw the sun coming out after some very bad weather and shining his light on some of the slickrock - it was breathtaking. Yes, I can't wait to see what you'll do with this inspiration. Wonderful picture!

This is amazing! Now I must go to Utah and see these wonders for myself. I love all these photos for so many different reasons! And the rainbow is lovely!

I love the rainbow. God always seems to give me one when I am in dire need of encouragement.

Just keep taking photos like that, and you'll have all the inspiration you need when you get back. That's an amazing photo.
