Little Slices of Life

Here is another piece of my painting's progress.  There is another half to this that still needs to be figured out.

So far, everything is acrylic over papers.  Instead of multicolor papers underneath, I stuck to red and yellow to see if I would like the effect.  When the red paper started peaking through to her hair, I loved it and just went with it.  Her dress shows some of that colored texture as well.

Wow, Diana, that is amazing! I can't believe you came this way last Tuesday! We headed to LA to take my niece's love back to the airport and enjoyed lunch at Joan's on Third. Hoping to get to the Getty Museum tomorrow...praying that Malcolm's painting is still there;-)

Gorgeous! I love all the peeks of multiple colors. It is just beautiful! Are you using sand paper to peek other colors through the layers? Love it Diana! :)
