Sneak Peek Friday

In progress, mixed media painting

Now this is really a Sneak Peek at my latest painting.  I'm excited to show little snippets of my progress.  I started this painting by doing a value study, but when the painting started to take on a life of its own, I had to throw my value study out the window.

I think it's smart to have a plan, but if everything is so planned out, then we would be doing paint-by-number.  So let's enjoy the process and be flexible to go with the flow and listen to your inner voice coaching you along the way.

Have a wonderful unplanned weekend. Once again, I am linking up with Studio JRU and all of you lovely Sneak Peek Talents!

Diana..This Is Over-The-Top WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!! Love The Spontaneity And The Use Of Graphics! I Agree About "Planning". I Try And Try To Plan And Organize..But Never Fully Know What The Final Results Will Be Until My Last Stroke. Don't Ya Just Love The Surprise Of It All? Have A Great Upcoming Holiday! Hugs, Terri

Love this Diana - as always! I am liking the graphic look of this, and it sure seems to be what all the bloggers I follow are saying...let the piece take you where it wants to go!

Blessings!

That's turning out so beautifully. I especially love the detail in the second photo; its grace and symmetry remind me of the carved (?) marble you see in photos of so many Old World buildings.

Love the rich layers, texture, Diana. And that blue around the chair just appeals to me. Can't wait to see it finished!

Love this! It's beautiful! Maybe I could be an artist. I live my life by making a plan and then throwing it out the window. :) Or maybe I'm better suited for Mother hood...because really this is what we ((mothers)) do always painting on the canvas of life.

Love your blog! Can't wait to see the finished piece.

Just love this painting...especially the bit that looks like animal skin...one of my weaknesses ;) The architectual elements are another favorite. Then there is the red part...I'm all over it! Can't wait to see it all completed. Have a lovely weekend. Fondly, Roberta

I will definitely keep this advice in my head. yes a plan is nice but we can "plan" ourselves out of inspiration taking over. Well done for listening...
