Texture Sheets
I came across this Parenting magazine for the blind on ebay and thought the braille might be a good background texture. So, I made a few experimental sheets.
I really like the way they turned out.

Happy Accidents
I just had to post this funny stencil I did of Duchess. This was supposed to be a serious stencil, which is what I'm still working on. I think its a crack up. Check out the eyes. If only the owners knew.
Try, Try, Try, Again
I've been very busy with art, but as you know, trying new techniques doesn't always go well. Here is an example. I was trying to put an image of a dog in the center using an inkjet transfer technique. After 2 times of wiping the gel medium off the colllage, I decided to just paste them on. All the blue you see is from the transfer, but I kind of like the look. These dogs are from a new painting of Duchess that didn't turn out, but here as collage elements, I like it.

Where's the puppy?
Having a lot of fun with in the visual poetry photoshop class with Susan Tuttle. This was a fun one. I took this picture years ago. Our dog was asleep, and we piled all the stuff animals around him for this picture.

Catch A Wave
Because this is basically done with ripped paper, I wanted the little droplets to be paper, also. So I used a single hole puncher and hole punched all the droplets. I had to use an x-acto knife to move the dots around. Of course, the obvious would have been to splattered some paint, but I wanted to try something different. It kind of has a fun, festive feel.
Although you can't see it very well, I used pieces of cheese cloth to give texture to the top of the wave. A little gesso was used to soften and pull together different areas. I'm tempted to do more, but need to think about it carefully at this point.
Dana took "Destiny Awaits", so maybe she'll like this too.

Madison Pencil Sketch
I couldn't help myself but to do another sketch of Madison. I used some glazing for his buff color. I want to add some color to his ball, but I'm going to wait and do it with photoshop so I can experiment first.
